Meet Lioni

Hi! I am Lioni and I am so happy you’re here!

 

I live in Phoenix with my husband Dean, and my son Max (sound familiar?).

I am originally from Indonesia and came to the US in 2000. Yes! When the whole Y2K was all happening! Some of you remember that.

​

I lived in Denver, Colorado for 14 years, and moved to Phoenix in 2014 and have been here ever since.

While I love Colorado and its beautiful mountains, I am never planning to move back there or any cold countries anytime soon for that matter.  

We love Arizona’s spring, winter and fall. Oh did I miss one particular season? Right.

During football season, our house is divided and cheer for three teams! Broncos, Giants and Cardinals!  Dean is from New Jersey, and Max was born in Arizona. As for me, you know the answer already.

Now onto cookies!  So how did all this get started?

 

I have always loved cooking because I love eating, and cooking allows me to pretty much eyeball the ingredients, hence I was never into baking.   

The first sugar cookies I ever made were for Max’s 2nd birthday in 2019. They were not the prettiest, but our friends said they tasted delicious!

My professional background is hospitality and marketing in the food service industry. Never did I plan to become a professional baker & cookier, but when I left my corporate job in 2021 to spend more time with Max, I found my calling.

Friends started to taste and order my cookies, and the rest is history!

Okay, now that you know I'm from Indonesia, did you know that Indonesia is home to over 700 different languages and dialects? Ask me how many I speak :)

​
